I'll have to swap the dash column shift to centre aye if I swap the stereo surround and centre console?
There's a Burgundy plastic stereo surround and centre console off a vn I had my eye on but I'll have to paint them or something to match the rest of the interior plastics.

These seats are pretty gross alright

A lot of work and most Gen II consoles are cracked. I'd be inclined to grab a pair of VR/VS Stato seats and keep the centre seat. Stato passenger seat will bolt to 3/4 bench rail.

Only the cover is. Get the centre seat recovered in something similar to the Stato covers.

If you go factory centre console it will look ridiculous unless you go all out and go T bar trans or 3D print something to make it look ok. Otherwise you would need a donor vehicle and a lot of hours. Too many differences. Wiring is different, so there is that to also contend with.

My VP ute had all the wiring plugs in it for Column shift or floor shift. No need for wiring changes. It’s all there.

At the time, I posted asking what the plugs were for. The consensus back then was that all utes had those plugs VG-VS as part of the harnesses.

Good evening,
Would I need to change brackets to fit VK seats in?

Yes, the inner one.....The outer one will line up..

It's the front inner bolt hole that won't line up.....

VG through to VS seats bolt up the same.

VB to VK (unsure of VL, sorry), the inner bracket differs to the later ones

Could I get away with adding 2 outside brackets off another vn to replace the inside brackets?
