she doenst like to restart

hi gang, have used the old girl a little lately and have noticed she doesnt like to restart when hot. any thoughts? she even stalled on the driveway yesterday. is this common for the old eights

firstly mate what u mean hot??? overheating?? lol when my thermostat gave up on my 202 it didnt want to start until it cooled down... so yeh id say your water temp is getting too high..

hot as in operating temp. which is normal. my gemini used to do this years ago which was a fuel vapourizing issue. i wonder if this is the same problem. and if it is how do i fix it. any thoughts

there should be a water temp sensor.. id check thats all good first.. apart from that im not to sure.. im having issues with my vk also... havent worked with these ol ones too much..lol

I had the same problem, check your timing, that was what did mine

Last time I has this issue I had to put a kit through the carbie, I went through everything sensors, dizzy eventually threw another carbie on it and away it went, so I rebuilt the original one

If it has an old points setup in the distributor, it could be a crook condenser.
