Should the stereo controls and trip computer controls light up on VX?

As title says, should the stereo controls on the steering wheel and trip computer controls light up at night?

Neither of mine do, and i'm wondering whether these are more problems i've inherited from the previous owner...

When you say trip computer, you're talking about the controls for it to the right of the centre air vents? The bit with the "mode" and up and down arrows?

If so, damn it, i'm so over replacing globes in this friggin car...

The mode lights should light up... I ripped out my Fascia the other week and when I jammed it back in it started to work....

Ended up changing the globes to LED's to stop the problem of constantly popping globe..

Im pretty sure the stereo controls wont...

Thanks for that, which globes did you change to LEDs?

I got Phreddy from ASR-Audio to change them over. Everything except for the auto-shifter and cluster so far.... looks mint and should outlast the car...

Getting the rest done soon...

Does anyone know what is required to replace the light behind the mode button and the harzard light button?

Is it another case of holden needing you to completely change the switch?

u should b able 2 get replacement globes 4 these but they wont b cheap if ur handy with a soldering iron it would b much cheaper 2 replace them with an LED they will last alot longer and wont blow with any knock or bumps.
