So, you made your swcs work by just hard wiring them to the stereo... is that what you're saying?
Have you read this thread? If so, inspect where your clockspring plugs into, then compare what you got and what the thread says to do for the extra wiring.

Also is your h/u compatible for the swc?

Not trying to hijack this post, but out of curiosity, is there a way to make the swcs work with an aftermarket hu without the expensive adapter?
Depends on the H/U some have the steering wheel remote built in which only requires the 2 wires, lot of the cheap Chinese units say steering wheel ready, they are plug and play, Kenwood has also released head units with the same 2 wires you just go into setting turn it on and set the unit to match each button you press on your remotes to the corresponding ones on the unit, it has more for the new model cars which you don't use on a VT, it works fantastic, like was said best to run wires from the Clock spring harness plug in line 1 and 2, I just grabbed harness pins from Jay car to add the 2 empty spaces.
