The sleeve is just a sleeve. You could try reseat the pipe. Might of been taken off for whatever reason and not pushed in properly.

Yeah I'm definately going to bodgy it or fix it myself, $180 was the quote from holden for a new pipe.... lol. Get ####ed Holden :L

BTW, can you put VS leads on a VT? Someone mentioned ya can :S

Leads should be the same from VN-VT s1. They're all the same engine with the exception of a few small changes for the S1 VT.

Sorry, I was thinking V8's in my last post. Got mixed up with another thread I was just reading.

VS to VY v6 should all use the same leads as they all have the same engine.

Ah ya ya, only a V6 mate, haha, cheers for the knowledge :) always learnin'!

Is there some form of putty i can put in that gap that's going to act like a sealant, that won't crack or melt under the heat?

I have a free day today and was wondering if there was any form of high-temp sealant of some sort to seal the gap, or wether I just need to push it in better? somehow?

Permatex Ultra Copper RTV Silicone Gasket Maker - Maximum Temperature, 85g - Supercheap Auto Australia

That's the stuff I use on exhaust manifolds if I want to reuse gaskets. It'll be fine to use that on the EGR fitting. You'll need to remove the pipe to apply it properly though. Make sure whatever you use is sensor safe.

Cheers bro, Is the pipe itself easy to disconnect? Remove bolts on either side (removing the throttle cable bracket too) and is it a matter of slipping it off or is it a bit harder than that?
