240, 250, 255, either way, I have read that unlimited standard they will hit 280...thats pretty bloody quick for a non lowered car, with no smooth panels underneath or a effective diffuser at the rear to suck the thing to the ground....

Top speed doesn't care about the fact that 1800kg is a lot to accelerate, top speed only cares that ~300kW is quite a lot of power.

Sounds about right. VicPol Highway Patrol tested 4 VY SS's when they were introduced, 274-281kph.

243kph, with at the time a completely stock L77 auto, measured on a gps, with about 2000rpm left. Think speedo read 250, wasnt looking.
