i found a product from auto shops called back to black and you can spray it on pubbers and black mouldings and brings them up like new

nice, is it a black spray or does it simplt restore the black finish like a polish?

The reason I ask is the most annoying thing about this problem is the pitting that occurs.

Try Auto Glym Bumper Restorer.

Mate uses it on his jeeps flares and they come up like new.

I think thats what it is called. I will check at work on Tuesday.

i have been hesitant to start fixing up the side strips until i could find a suitable chrome spray, i found one in an auto1 store that i dont think anyone has mentioned using yet so when i purchase it ill post the brand etc.. incase anyone wants to try it out, i vaguely remember the can stating it had a more chrome like finish than any other chrome spray..

i'd love to know what it is when you test it out, I have recently pulled my entire side stripping off as the car is getting resprayed and I may not even put my ones back on, however I will still do a howto if anyone is interested.

Windscreen wiper blade arms if not mantained look pretty scabby and are often overlooked.

Dunno if anyone else knows or picked it up, but don't use metho as a substitute for wax and grease remover.

Metho contains oils and other crap so doesnt come up nice when painted.

with the painting of the rubber\plastic whatever bits around the rear side windows, wouldnt some sore of primer be used to stop the oils of the rubber stuffing things up?
