changing the intake may very well change how the engine sounds, the factory air box is designed to minimise any/all NVH (aka noise) from the intake, fitting something like a growler will increase engine noise that is present in the induction side of the engine.

I remember reading a car review for the VX Calais with L67, specifically that the engine supercharger could be heard at high throttle settings.........

After putting the growler in the stock intake growler to T/B was hard to get on.

So decided to get a custom pipe and fit the oil separator. Separator and clean side PCV outlet plugged.

Been on for nearly 3 weeks now everything is running good.

Car was in for service 3 weeks and a oil leak was found from the bottom of each side of the timing cover. Leak repaired

Would it be possible the oil pressure got to high and had nowhere to go now that I have the cleanside PCV outlet blocked off and using the separator.
Had a look at the separator which was slightly oily so is normal.

All is good with oil pressure.
