SS-V Redline, strange cable under boot carpet

I uncovered a strange wiring block / sensor under the carpet in the boot/trunk of my MY14 SS-V. It can be found by going into the boot via the pulldown in the centre of the rear seats.

It sits in a polystyrene casing and when removed has a white clip, photos attached.

Does anybody know what this is for?

Looks like a sensor to me.... Maybe for trailer sway control to sense the yaw of the car?
