Thanks mate!
I'll get the front down level when I can get some struts and strut top bearings.

Haha, yeah it looks pretty daunting.. But it's simple really.
Dash comes out, dash goes in.
Hardest part is making sure none of the wires get caught and rub on something, and finding a screw driver that can take out the demister screws.
Cheers,
Jake.

Been contemplating the idea of more power..
I had plans of an Ls1 conversion, but after all this money has been spent on the T5 .. I think I'll go with a Buick Twin Turbo !

So .. I've been researching.. A fair bit!

My engine mounts are sagged to buggery and causing driveline issues..
Need adjustment to my clutch fork
Need to do rear main.
So the engine has to come out anyway.. I'm thinking a reco with headwork ?
With all work to be done by me.. Apart from machining.

I have heard that turbo 4.2l strokers go hard :p

I always thought if I was ever going to go down the turbo path, I would build an L67 bottom end with ecotec heads and inlet manifold on it.

Its algood to do the 4.2L turbo thing, but thats alot of money man. How much would it cost to convert to V8 and put a turbo or super charger on that, more potential for power and more reliable than a stressed out V6.

Just my 2c

Yeah .. I've been tossing ideas around in my head for a while now.
I'm not looking for ALOT of power.. Always said this car will be the death of me. Just something around the 200rwkw mark. My research proves the Buick can do that quite comfortably on low boost.
The thing about FI is that its exactly... Well .. Forced. Doesn't matter if your boosting a v8 or v6 .. It's performing beyond what it was originally designed to do. You can counter act that with a stronger bottom end and all the other bits and pieces.

From my research, the Buick tends to respond well to boost. The most restrictive thing being the heads, open them up a little and I should have a responsive engine with a solid torque curve. Nothing too overboard to keep me out of too much trouble.

I do appreciate your opinion, I would love to hear a lot more too :)

Cheers,
Jake.
