Hi can you be able to steer me in the right direction my Vs Ser1 has 145k auto.
1. Fuel usage i cannot get better than 14L+ per 100KM, city and highway driving seem to have no differance on fuel use. have replaced injectors, spark leads and air filter recently the left hand O2 sensor cos told it may have been giving intermitant fault last service this seemed to get rid of an odd miss while at idle the was occuring but it returned after.

Throttle body has also been cleaned and plugs replaced about 7K ago

2 While parking when changing gears the engine just abouts stalls if shifted from D to R quickly.

Thanks

mine does the nearly stalling thing too, so annoying, but i had the same issue were my vr was using 16.6lt/100km, i replaced the fuel pump and filter (as it **** itself) service, cleaned throttle body and the IAC valve, alternator, battery, oxygen sensor (vr only has one, try chanign ur second one on ur vs,) um cant remeber wot else but now i get about 9-11lt/100km around town
not sure about highway

when u cleaned the throttle body did u take it off and thoroughly clean it and just spray the stuff in it wile still connected?

i still have not got the gear changing rev loss problem fixed but sum1 sed it maybe the fuel pressure regulator

i had a major problem with this

i went to a place and they said they'll fix the problem for $310.

i went elsewhere and
turned out it was a faulty TPS!
fixed for $60

was using 17L/100km
now after TPS fixed
11L/100km

also recently got injector clean for $110
and fuel filter for $20

cars goin great now!

monitors the alignment of the air fuel mix control flap :p

or senses the throttle position which i suppose on about 60% of the cars here is an easy 100% about 50% of the time.

As has been said earlier, I'd almost bet my left nut its the TPS. Kill 2 birds and do the O2 sensor at the same time. Same thing happened to me about 2 months ago, did the filters, plugs, leads, injectors cleaned etc and it was still there, TPS and O2 sensor and now she's right as rain mate.
