Starting issue

Hey there car wont start Had starter done up about 2000 km ago Ing lights come on and turn key no go Put Hot wire to starter and away it goes Do the vt 304 have a starter relay if so witch one is it Thinking it could be that Or any other ideas Cheers Its a manual so can clutch start no worries

The diagram below may help you.
When you say "won't start", do you mean it:

• doesn't crank at all,
• cranks OK but doesn't start,
• cranks OK, starts but then cuts out.

Most 304 non-start problems are due to faulty coil, ignition module, hall effect sensor in the distributor, battery, fuel pump etc.

will start if put hot wire to starter or clutch start Thanks for that will try replace starter relay

hey there stillno go Turn key on ing lights come on but wen turn key to start no joy wont turn starter over Changed the starter relay no change Car runs perfect when clutch started Or a hot wire to starter but turn of it wont start again No cranking on starter motor any thoughts Cheers

Have you replaced any other modules Recently ?
When you turn the Key, the Lock Light [on the dash] remain on ?

do they have a clutch switch ??? im a panel beater by trade so know a bit about this stuff Can start car with out pushing cluch down But will check Cheers

no and now will check if lock light stays on Never knew it had one lol will look any help is good help Put car in garage and went to start it aprox three weeks later no go Mate woorks for AA nz here and said about bcm plays up so pulled fuses for aprox half hour but still no go Clutch down drive runs fine go for ride all good untill u stop it

still the old system No new one fitted
