Just remember the old saying, measure twice, cut once. If in doubt measure again.

The practice run of the old VN sounds a good idea!

Good luck.

As every one has said measure twice cut once and leave yourself a few mill to work with you can always cut bigger bit harder to make the cut smaller :p good luck and keep us posted

so much doubt from a few people already, guess we will soon find out with the end resultes

got a late start on it yester planing on doing a bit more tonight

yesterdays efforts got the roof lineing out and a centre brace removed
no pics as off yet

as everyone said measure twice cut once, think will be measuring a 100 times before cutting and leaving a mill to work with like mentioned

see how we go tonight cheers

yea all i can say is dear god don't nick any of the supports or try to mount it to far forwards.

there's a lot of doubt because of the home sunroof installs that have appears on JC over the years, usually ends up writing the car off after some numnut cuts through a support and the roof bends/caves in.

Thus Sabbath's shovel and tarp comment :p roof held up with shovel and tarp to stop leaks :) as a previous member did years ago haha before the cops busted him.

If you can do it properly, then good on ya, if not well another one chocked up on the statistics.

nice work, the real test prior to whacking in the roof lining is to get the hose and just let it run all over the roof to see if you have any leaks.

any progress pics throughout the install?
