Has any one used steering lock spacers on their vs before?
If so can you post some info like pics of the spacer installed and the lock you get.
Also some info about how to install them if possible?

Ive put them on other cars but never a vs,

Ok, since 70 people have view your post, I'll be the bunny. What in the hell is a steering lock spacer?

Basically the give you more length out of your power steering rack so you get a better turning circle, adding 5mm spacers give you about 15 degree more lock, and yes you do have to toe in your wheels or get a wheel alignment.

this is the only other post i could find

Looks like i might have to make some from scratch (in a proper cnc) ill do an update on here, ill have a spare rack to play with as i need a new one.

sounds like a load of **** to me. I don't see how spacers are going to increase the travel of a power steering rack. If they do work, and that is a big IF, it would be at the cost of correct wheel allignment, steering geometry, and tyre life.

It actually does work, and as a mate of mine in the drift culture says, we can never run down our front tyres as quick as our backs,

Ill make these spaces, install them, and have a wheel alignment done, and have a video of the whole process.

That way 1)we can find out if it works, and 2) how much extra lock ill get.

They give you more lock by allowing each tie rod to travel further into the rack. Really good for car parks.

Pretty good bag for buck. Looked at this for the VS, but wasn't sure if there would be a safe amount of thread left on the tie rod with the spacer on it. Post results, I have a friend who's keen for a pair of these.

Doesn't really make the rack any more responsive though.
