Latest update is i broke the front bar yesterday. It got caught on a concrete block on the ground as i was reversing out of a spot at a shopping centre. Broke all the mounring holes.
Fixed them but its still not perfect so more work to do. Gave me a chance to install black mesh on it though

Damn thats gotta suck i hate those concrete stops . I parked against one in my 929 once it pushed the clip holding the bottom radiator hose one was halfway home when my car overheated.

update from my last post. heres a photo of what happened

and 4 hours later. new brackets fitted to the bar, and installed some plastic mesh behind the holes. bar will be resprayed soon enough

Clutch came today. Will be taking the engine out in 2 weeks, and the cam will go in at the same time.
Cam is a clive cam 233, or a wade 1069. Compression will go up to 9.1:1, and will decide on a manifold later on

dude that console looks heaps good! where did u get the carbon fiber stuff done? im gonna do a simular thing to my senator when i get it converted. was it hard to get it all to fit sweet?

hardest part is modifying the passenger side part, to move the ashtray over an inch or so, and to remould the plastic a bit. ive still gotta work out how to attach the gear boot to it properly

started modifying my centre console. i built an ALDL circuit for $4 worth of jaycar parts, and am having it constantly wired it into a serial port below my cd player. this way i just plug in my usb t serial converter cable, and i can use my laptop to do diagnostics. its hidden behind the ABS/IRS cover on the console.
