Amplifier is rated at 300RMS and subwoofer is rated at 550RMS.

Hmmmm....well he didnt say exactly that the system he recommended was the same one in his car.
And I will obviously do my due diligence before I buy anything from anyone. Had some bad experiences with online purchases, so if I do buy anything, its in person now.
