This is an old post but a good one

Opening the sunroof, not tilt but open, there is so much wind noise.

Try next time your sunroof is open hold the wind deflector down, the noise is substantially reduced.
How to Fix the noise issue.

Add some spaces to the deflector. The stoppers are on each side of the deflector and are under the roof panel bends.

I'm not quite sure what you're getting at here, Hotdog -- could you be a bit more specific about "adding spaces (spacers?) to the deflector"? Will your suggested remedy remain in place as the sunroof opens and closes?

This mod the idea is to try and stop the wind from getting in between the roof and the deflector.

1: Before the mod you can clearly see the gap between the roof and deflector.

2: Location of 8 mm spacer

3: After mod with no gap between roof and deflector

I've used a packet of 8 mm spacers from bunnings, maybe someone could have used a better type of spacer.
Anyway
Helpfully this is more understanding
