VZ SSZ Ute
Hey
My vy ute has what seems to me to be a slight surge every now and again mostly when going up small hills.......it is usually only around 80/100kmh and when the engine is between 1500 and 1900rpm
I've changed the fuel filter and run injector cleaner through but no different

Anyone else had this problem??? What can be done to fix it?

Cheers

Try spark plugs, leads, coils packs, tps iac, maybe a vacuum leak somewhere. Just start with the cheapest thing and work your way up, you can test ignition things with a multimeter.

With a similar experience I've had with my VYII, there was a fouled injector. I tried inj. cleaner also but you need to physically inspect them.
After an expensive fix by a local mechanic, and then finding when I pulled them all out myself, I would never get a "pro" injector clean again.
They are straight forward to remove and service. Get yourself kitted up with the strainers & o-rings from eBay or wherever and give it a try.
Under a mag. glass you can spot fouling around the nozzles, blocked holes etc.
