SV6 vs XR6

Hi my dad has a 2008 SV6 and he loves it
there is a indian guy live next door from us
he come arround today when i working on my car and trying to ask me to repair his dent
i didnt know he has got a second hand xr6 because he always keep it on his mates place
so i thought it might be his jeep
he said no no no i got a XR6 and seems like very pround of it
then i ask if its a metalic paint because i am not confident to paint it
but he repeat to said it is a XR6
and then he said some **** like he knows my dad has a sv6 but his car is better than my dad
i dont want waste time so i told him i need to look at the car
Why so many people want to proove that FORD IS BETTER THAN HOLDEN?
I suppose every one used to own both ford and holden would know with is better.
Most people would like to talk about the KW of the engine
but the torque is important too as well as the suspention chassis every thing
So has any one here use to own similiar year model of a ford and a holden
how do you feel about them?

simply put the ford has a stronger engine and with the zf a better gearbox.
the holden has a better chassis /steering suspension etc. build quality is on par falcon materials in the cab probly a touch better.

looks thats subjective i like the holden (obviously) same goes for features

the new SIDI 3.6 motor is 10 X's the 30 year old Ford block...... look at the technology, sure its proven but i mean my new SV6 is 10 x's the car a XR6 is...... i have driven my best mates BF XR6 snd it is heavy steering brakes are ordinary and ride qaulity is not like Holdens. The manual gear box feels terrible as well compared to my ar.

I don't want to start this ford vs holden **** again, but from every "magazine" test of the current SV6 vs xr6 (WHICH MAY OR MAY NOT BE INDICATIVE OF THE REAL WORLD) the Holden is the faster car 0-100m and 1/4m. Brakes faster too, and yes this is with the ZF gearbox.

note i never said better of faster.
the ford engine is stornger it is a big capacity straight six that puts it in good steed. and the extra torque makes it a stronger engine (not nessaceraly better)
the holdens v6 is more advanced technicaly and loves to rev witch coupled with the better chassis makes a more enjoyable sports varriant in my veiw.

and the zf is by far the better auto. havent experianced the manual in the ford.

i bought the commodore i think its a better package but it is not better in every aspect. its a case of deciding whats important to you and buying the car that suites.
