Hi all
My hubby just bought an SVZ ute 190KW but it doesn't feel like it's got that power. When taking of it goes like a 4 cylinder car revs up but speed just not there. Not sure what could be a problem so if anyone has any suggestions please share.
Thanks

Thanks wraith
but there are no codes the car doesn't "think" anything is wrong it's only that a person driving the car feels like there is something wrong somewhere but can't determine what. It feels sluggish considering there's a 190KW engine under the hood; where is the torque???
Cheers mate

It's only a 6 and tuned for economy. It's not going to be a rocket ship. If you have just bought it maybe give it a big birthday and do a decent service on it with good oils and go from there.

Thanks maybe you're right i guess after driving a V8 you just expect too much from a 6.
Keep you posted

They're only 3.6 litres, and in a big heavy car they're nothing special. Not very torquey engines.

Many newer 4 cylinders would go much better than a commodore with an alloytec.
