I’m trying to nut out the rear light harness colours and what they do. I’m making a pig tail of the light harness for a trigger wire for reverse (rear camera) and brake (forward camera).

I can’t add power to confirm the wires I need. I’ve gone through the wiring diagrams and I’m finding a bit of vague info. For some reason I can’t get the pin outs for the plug as well. The plug is X903.

I’m trying to find reverse. I’m fairly sure that is the dark green that changes to light green at the plug.

I’m trying to find the brake which I’m fairly sure is blue/red trace.

Brown/wht trace seems to be earth, changing to black/blue trace at the plug.

I’m wanting to use the light harness so i don’t have to butcher the main loom.

Can anyone help a brother out? Sedan looks to be the same.

If someone could get a test light in the back of the plug on those wires to check it out, that would be good.

Luckily I had to pull apart the back of my other Crewman to replace a brake light.

So the little harness is as follows:
Green = Reverse
Blue = Indicator
Brown = Park light
Blue/Red = Brake light
Brown/White = Earth (switched via BCM?)
Black = Earth to body at interior rear firewall.

These sub harness’ are common across many models. Sedan, wagon, ute etc. VT-VZ and you can bet models previous.

The sub harness wiring colours don’t match the harness colours, so hopefully this helps someone one day.

I depinned the plug by removing the locking pin.

Then depressing the plastic tab, pulling the wires free one at a time.

That will be to do with the trailer harness if I’m remembering correctly.

That’s for the left indicator on the trailer harness. It plugs into a loose blue (from memory) wire on the factory harness.

Nothing to do with brakes.

FuMan is very knowledgeable in this stuff but you have also asked this question in another old post for trailer lights in the general section, AND

you asked in the video channel section as well.

You only need ask once not 3 times in different sections to get an answer, but you have to have patience, so what are you trying to get working,

brake lights on the wagon ?? or brake lights on the trailer ??
