The issue is, that to get a "Mean" sound you need a mean engine.
The ecotec simply doesn't cut the mustard on that one unless you work the #### out of it.
I mean strocking, cam, manifolds, heads, tuning, etc. Then, you can put a decent exhaust on it and it will sound mean IMO.
You can't achieve a mean sound simply with an exhaust. That and sound is subjective... so what one person considers mean and what another considers mean are different.
For example, I think basically all factory LSx engines sound like crap no matter what exhaust is on them. Too smooth and "meh"
I think that my LS2 sounds alright. I'm happy, people like is generally and all is well. But I wouldn't call it "mean".
