ended up buying a chrome moly lightened flywheel from xtreme... the part numbers for VR -VS were the same so i dont see why it shouldnt be okay.

another question, im using my auto loom, the part that goes down to the auto transmission,, can i just chop that part of the loom off and tape it up ? (chop just before the oxygen sensor connector)

you will need to get the flywheel balanced to suit ecotec if thats what its going onto or it will vibrate.the auto loom ide leave at least the 1 power wire going down there to power the speed sensor and use the others as the feeds into the ecu for speedo etc or fit a manual loom and do it properly

Yeah the flywheel i bought had the same part number for VR - VS

but it came with a weight that bolts on the back of the flywheel, im guessing i have to put that on for the ecotec ?

Hi guys, great thread by the way! ive found it very helpful in my search at looking for info for my upcoming conversion. i have a question though.
i have a Vr v6 commodore with a series 2 engine and i want to convert it to manual, i also have a complete 95 VS manual commodore that i got pretty cheap as a write off with roof damage and it had only done 178klms. The Vs has a T5 manual gearbox in it, i was just wondering will it all convert ok, or is there some things that i will have to change?

If i currently have a set of pacemaker extractors on my automatic, will i need to replace these with manual extractors? Part number PH5019

Or will i have clearance from the bellhousing?

Manual Gen3 VT SS + V6 VT manual turbo
Yer I think manual ones also fit autos but auto ones don't fit manual

could i get a more detailed how to set up speedo from auto to manual,done the auto to manual just need the speedo to work and car will be complete
