Picked up this beast the other day
Its a 84 xj6 jag s3
Its a long term project. Only got it as i swapped my rusted out patrol for it.
Shes got a 4.2ltr 6 with a 3 speed auto as far as i know
180xxx miles
Woodgrain and chrome everywhere
Blue shag roof
Poo brown bonnet :/
And a boot full of spares

Things need fixing:
Paint ( re doing the metallic blue maybe)
Fix/replace the donk (fix standard or get a 350 chev conversion kit)
Fix bit of rust
Re sand and coat woodgrain
Install a cd player
Rego
Drive around like a boss

Yer, ditch the jag motor. I've always had a soft spot for the jags. So when you say bootful of spares, you mean a few chrome pieces and not much else right? The bootspace from memory is terrible

Yeah 350 would be nice, or the v12 that come in them.

Boot has lights, power steering rack and some chrome bits lol

Wonderful old now car.
I had one of those almost new getting on to 30 years ago. Would pull 200 on the clock and go no faster. One of the BEST handling cars I've ever had, and I've had plenty.
Please don't put a V8 into it. 6 cylinder Jaguar engines are not hard to fix or replace if yours has a problem. And keep the paintwork totally original PLEASE.
Rust could well be a problem, as it was common in them if not looked after properly. Join the Jag. club and have some real fun with it. You will also meet some great enthusiasts and source proper spare parts for it.

Jaguar Car Club South Australia should be closest to you. Quite a good website with lots of pics, info and spares, including joining advice etc. etc.
