Any ups or downs???
What's the deal... I saw them on the net and went to check at Holden today and they look amazing...
Just want to see if anyone knows if there is a reason to NOT get one.

Yeah I saw that reference. To me I've liked the look of those rims for a while, and the Thunder ones look nice on the right colour.
I've been shopping for a VE For a bit and been thinking of holding out for VF... However at the same token when the VF is launched, the price will most likely be shockingly high.
THat's why I like the look of the Z's. They have the leather interior (not full i know) and all the little features I like. Plus that Purple (Alchemy?) colour is amazing... Even though I'd still probably go Black lol...
And at approx $43k~ for a Manual SS-Z, just seems too good to be true.

That's also something I thought of.
With the VF launch, is there any word that I may not have seen to show when next year it might be launched? Like which quarter?
Don't know if I want to wait another year for my first V8 :p

if holden follows it's trend, it'll be a VZ to a VY or a VX to a VT. Just mild physical cosmetic changes, i remember reading somewhere that it'll appear unchanged but under the skin it'll be a new tech filled car

Thats because it's what they are. That said, generally they are a cheap way to option up the car if it's what you are after. The SV-Z's have held their value quite well from the VZ series.

I think your confusing the SV-Z with the SSZ.

SV-Z was spec'd more like a lumina/berlina, where the SSZ was a special edition SS.

Same idea - they are all just parts bin upgrades. There was a SS-Z in the VZ series too. Once again, parts bin special to clear the last gasp of that model. They have all held their value quite well though. If I was in the market for a VE right now then I'd put it up for strong consideration.
