thanks lads.

there prolly isnt going to be much going on in this thread. most of the work has been done, just got a few road worthy items and a few cosmetic items to do, like scratches on the roof need to be touched up, shock absorbers gon' get changed. haz coil-overs and they are doing their traditional clunking, drives me nucking futs.

so far i have replaced the clutch with a stock exedy

its got a lightened flywheel which doesnt really make me happy, but meh:

im havng trouble deciding on whether to put some stock V-spec rims on it.

or just sticking to these LM's. pros of keeping the LM's, i have them, the v-specs will cost $850. the LM are 245/45/17 and vspec are 225/50/17 so a bit more meat on the road, but v-spec are OEM and i kinda wanna bring it back to full stock... but going full stock means buying 2 grands worth of brembo brake calipers... which isnt really in the budget.

also good to note this car is in fact for sale. its going to be up for $28+ORC. so its possible itll get purchased and the thread will come to a crashing halt. but since the impala fans didnt like updates in that thread, then this is here.

lol, if im being honest: i hate the look of the impala :p would much prefer a HK prem, but the impala came up and it was a good project, so i got stuck with it.

soooo many other cars id prefer to own :p

There are too many cars to love and not enough money and time for them if you ask me - I wish I was Jay Lenno, so jealous of that guys collection.

Good on you for finding a non-butchered datto.

Don't sell it!!! So hard to find a unmolested 32, some young guy will buy it and put BOV's and coil overs and stickers and crap on it.

Meh who cares. As long as you have the money its done. Though I'm sure Ari will sell it for more than what most young kids can afford. As you said, its hard to find one in such nick.

I've heard that its hectik.

Even fully sik bro.

Can't wait to see what happens when Ari find a single panel that doesn't line up to the nanometre.

Because if the Impala thread has taught me anything its that Ari love bogging, sanding and painting.

i wanted to go to this last one, but the dude who sold me the shocks didnt show up till 12 and with the knocking and carrying on from the old shocks, i couldnt stand it, so i went and helped rip ryders LS1 out instead. fitted the OEM shocks last night after replacing fked-out boots and bushes. bit gutted about the height the car sits at now, but it doesnt make a single bump or squeek, and TBH i prefer noisless driving to looks.

and as far as selling it goes, i dont really care who buys it. but considering im putting it up for 28k (30 inc reg/rwc) and you can get one on ebay for 11, im pretty sure the type of buyer who will pick it up will be a R32 fanboi and not some hektic drifter just off his p's.

either way, i had some money that needed to be invested in something, and since this car is rust free, its not gonna hurt to just have sitting around. parked indoors, ill drive it on weekends, service regularly and just keep it in top condition. the only thing that may kill it is if the department of transport open up the importing regulations. in which case, we're all looking at around a 10-50% drop in used car prices. which means ALL of us.

im nearly finished with the work. just needs some tyres and a wheel alignment, ill paint the calipers and rotors, get the rotors machined and fit some new pads, and thats all it needs for RWC. compliance plate should be here some time next week, so rego in 2 weeks hopefully.
