i changed my vp calais to slotted rotors, noticed a major difference. definitely not placebo effect either. i made the change after blowing through a red light crosswalk hard on the anchors, was a 38 degree day. never happened again...

I take your point about the slotted rotors just wasn't sure if you had planned this for track days or not hence the question. I do believe this is somewhat car dependent as some cars are more prone to cook their brakes which would make slotted rotors much more suitable. That and two piece rotors would cut some of the weight down which would be very useful. I had seen the setup on a 33 with the air flow directed into the rotors wasn't sure if 32s had this.

As for the calipers it all depends on the total surface area of the pistons. The greater the surface area the greater the force. If you keep the same surface area but spread it out with more pistons then you end up with better pad contact. If your increasing the pad size without increasing the force then yes you will run into issues. Upgrading the master cylinder or booster just increases the pressure in your brake lines for a given amount of pedal travel so it achieves the same thing as increasing your piston area.
