I didnt that engine is up for sale i have another to go in. I would thing the best way to get it out is to scrape it out. But its being sold to suit rebuild so it would be taken apart and cleaned in some sort of chemical.

Ok bit of an update been busy at work so not much has happened but I have decided to paint the engine bay, as it will bug me if I don’t.

Started to sand the engine bay still have to borrow a welder so I can weld up the holes but it’s a start.

Also stripped the paint off the sump so I can paint it again as the original paint came off.

Made these spacers for the fuel rails as the ones the come with the manifold where about 10mm diameter and looked too small these are 16mm. I’ll get a pic once on the motor

Still have to paint the starter motor, air con compressor and a few other things before they go back on. Hopefully get a day off work soon so I can organise the radiator to get fixed and a few other things.

Fitted my fuel rail spacers also painted sump starter motor and a few other things. Will be getting someone to weld the bay up for me hopefully in the next few weeks. Looks like the car will be off the road for the rest of this year at least but ill see how it all goes. Im not too fussed as i want to do it properly and this will take time and $$ will be a better car once its done.

Some progress pics of the engine bay so far……. The radiator support will only have the holes needed for the bonnet latch and spring the rest will be smooth. Also the lip that the head light wiring use to be clipped to has been removed. Still need to clean up all the welds yet but that will all be done later
