how much power does your 6 have?

LS1 won't use as much fuel as they don't need to work all that hard.. a stock VT LS1 puts out about 176Kw at the wheels.

135+ plus also running a cammed setup with 3.9's in the diff.

135 ain't bad with what you've done. LS1 will give you 176rwkw so 40ish extra Kw's at the wheels without spending anymore than the purchase price of the car. VT 5 litre will give you about 140rwkw at the wheels. Expect the price of the bigger V8's to drop once fuel gets even more insanely priced.

yeh its not bad but seeing as u can get around the 240rwkw mark with 3000 or so its a much better option. i was actully thinking of supercharger but for 5 grand its not worth it imo. also i dont really like the 5 liter getting old and stuff and is still gonna cost a lot to get moving.

slow down a 5.0 P/D goes very very well trust me. they make bulk hp depending on setup
can't foult them on reliability with a p/d setup.

yeh they sound awesome ill agree but a mate of mine has a vs ss and i didnt think it was anything to special to be honest. its a nice car and i wouldnt knock one back but best bang for buck would surly have to be an ls1

Not everyone buys a car for power. If i was, it would be an LS1 for sure!
