The bush fires down here have been pretty crazy, we were evacuated on Friday night, it got to within two kilometres of our place before it turned around.

Some of them do. On the western side of the mountains it is regularly hovering near or over 40 with low humidity and plenty of fuel on the ground. Wagga Wagga and district have it bad today, Dubbo has it bad today, where I am right now isn;t to bad but we have 42 tomorrow for the next week. BOM website indicates places along the coast will get changes coming through and cooler weather but the heat will come back again. Keep the water tanks as full as possible cause if you need them you want them to be able to supply water for more than a few minutes in this weather.

Todays temperature measured at my place.

Maximum of 42.6 degrees and as current (7pm) it is still 39.6 degrees outside and a lovely 33.9 inside my room.

I was at a job out at Pymble today, according to my car it hit 44 degrees there.
