I'd agree with that too. It was a bit like the bigger brother of the Allegro.

Just thought of another terrible British Leyland car - the Austin Ambassador.

To clarify my Cortina listing.

I should have restricted it to the standard TC/TD models that went OK (just, so slow for a six) but didn't like corners at all. They also took a long time to complete even a short trip to the shop as you had to stop every five metres to pick up the pieces that had fallen off.

All Ford did was extend the front end to fit the six in and used stronger springs. Nothing else that's why they could never handle well.

Austin Princess? Is that the 54 Austin Princess or the Morris/Austin/Wolesley version based on the Morris 1100? They are very ugly.

I'm thinking of this one^^^. Mid 1970's model shaped like a wedge. Can't speak for the other person though
