Id say its the Torque limiter on the Auto , the 3-4 changes are the weakest point of the 4l60E so id say it would be to avoid breakage.cmelb said:I have the VY NA 3.8lt, its 4 speed Auto and it gets to 200km/hr and changes from 3rd to 4th when in 3rd at over 5000rpm then back to 4th and then back to 3rd at over 5000rpm in little as a second, so it sits in 3rd at 200km/hr and wont go into 4th which sucks.
Why is this and what can I do to get it change into 4th gear when at 200km/hr instead of it sitting in 3rd at over 5000rpm.
Just a short unrelated note Gen3_350_V8, the actual rated ci capacity of the gen3 is actually 346ci. Yes it is a different engine!! TOTALLY!!gen3_350_v8 said:ive clocked my vy v8 ute 250+ it was still pulling hard too, i dont know about if they degoverned mine on the dyno with the edit, but i think even b4 the edit i got to about 240+ then backed off no room left, (on the track off course )
