TPS Sensor Reset?

Hi,

Just a quick question - I have a VX SS series 2 and was wondering if i need to reset the PCM when installing a new TPS? Or should it work just fine off the bat?

I just installed a TPS into my 98 VT no problems off the bat. However, I'm new to fixing my own cars, so I'd still wait for a second opinion.

No need to reset the PCM, just the TPS, unplug it, turn the key on (do not start it) and wait for the engine light, key off, plug it back in.

I just replaced mine in a VS V6 and no need at all, used to hesitate sometimes on takeoff and hasn't done it since. Although I only had 2 days of test driving before some ####er smashed my rear windscreen.
