I dont know about 7psi, but 304runner does make a valid point- most modern engines will handle a low boost set up no worries. I'd be keeping it to 5psi tops (just to make sure the rest of the drivetrain is up to the task), but otherwise should all be sweet. Setting up a twin turbo setup will be very expensive though.... a hell of a lot more plumbing to do. If you want something different, I'd consider going for a single turbo on a different engine- say a SIDI with single exhaust port. The money you save might warrant the car upgrade, and it'll be a very nice base to work with. Mind you, if you're going to change cars, then may as well go an 8 and be done with it :).

SIDI are alloytechs...........

The Omega, Berlina, are the 3.0ltr SIDI with 1 exhuast port either side of the V.......

The SV6 and Calais Models are 3.6ltr SIDI with the same 3 exhaust port either side of the V as the earlier 195 Alloytech..... (thats my understanding..)

if it's pre SIDI it would probably handle boost abit better as far as compression goes. Either way DO IT, or get an 8 haha

In the words of the late great peter brock, "bite off more than you can chew, then chew like hell." Plus, there's nothing better than twins.
If you're gonna go through the trouble of plumbing one snail, you might as well give it a friend to play with!

Id be interested in learning the difference between the two. Perhaps you can write something constructive in your next post? After all, it will be the big 1000th post you make..Make it worth while..

i think i used my 1000th post in another thread :p wooo

non sidi directs the fuel into the air before the cyclinders..
whereas sidi engines have the fuel injector in the actual cylinder and

make sense?
