I didn't know air itself causes friction. Can't say that there is sand particles that would cause it... its not a desert in the engine bay.

Yeah... unless you're moving through a vacum there will be friction... even with air...

Thus why when things enter the earths atmosphere... they burn up... they get hot because of air friction.

The friction can't be that great to cause an huge increase in temperature.

yep just goes to show, holden usually do outsmart backyarders in design than what people give credit for

I agree with you mate... im sure they would have done testing to come up with the current design. Its not exactly like the V6 is starving for air either.
