100% agree.

Because the OP didnt bring up any issues other than the diff being a single spinner, I reckon someone has incorrectly told him that a single spinner or open diff is called a trutrac which is why he said he has one.
The OP said the following which I take it to mean he is thrown by the tag LSD: N and the statement thatit has a Trutrac centre installed within.
The boss at work looked up the part number and said it appears to be a diff from an auto SS. previous owner must of blown the original diff and put a truetrac converted open diff from an auto into it?. Diff has (LSD : N) on it

Really, one could possible check whether the car has a Truetrac centre or not by having one wheel on the dirt and the other on bitumen and then taking off with some throttle (that would spin the wheel on dirt in an open diff). With a Truetrac, doing this should not see reves hit highs unrelated to road speed as the wheel with good traction should take the torque and hold revs to road speed (given the gear it’s in)…

If a wheel does spin on a Truetrac because it’s in the air (4x4’s see this), then applying a little brake pedal will cause some bias which should see a Truetrac centre send traction to the non spinning wheel.

It would be nice if Doug posted back something :p
