V6 economy and V8

Minux wouldn't that extra 9 litres get you approx. another 93.75km's seeing your fuel consumption is 9.6 Litres per 100km's ?:whistling

I'm getting 16l/100km or worse in my S1 VN V6 auto. It's depressing watching the fuel gauge drop!

Im getting 17.8 around town im my VY SS.
On the highway I get 11.6 at 110kmh up to 14.8 at 150kmh.
Once you go over 170 it goes up to 16.5.

I am getting around 9.8-10.2L/100km out of my VR V6 5speed daily driver.
So far the figures are for around town driving, I havent had the opportunity to take it on a good run up the freeway yet.

The car is pretty well stock except for 65mm throttle body, cat back exhaust. I do give it the occasional squirt but I have been trying to drive it easy with fuel consumption in mind.

Bog Standard VY Series II SV8 - Averages out about 13.5l/100km driving to and from work along the Monash Fwy on the cusp of peak-hour traffic.
Open road - under 10l/100km.

i usually get about 16-16.5, getting my exhaust fitted today and having a dyno tune done(the whole shabang) so i'll see if it makes it any better, i'll post up the resaults up next week once i've gone through a full tank.

btw. i have a vt calais 5L

edit* 16-16.5 city, when i went from brisbane to the sunny coast 3 times in 1 day using cruise control it dropped all they way down to 11.2L/100km.
