v8 oil pump replacement

I am about to replace an oil pump on a vr v8, just wanted to know which part of the oil pump that must be packed with petroleum jelly type grease.
and the steps to perform this job would be of help thanks.

When you start putting it back together, before you put the cover plate on pack it then, through the cogs in every little crack and crevice, then spin the cogs, do it again, spin the other way and do again then put he thing together, don't forget to fill the filter and rub the seal with your oily finger. Seems like a bit of work and most others will prob say just the once, but every time I've done it once I've had to do it twice.
