Hi Guys
New to the site and posting on threads like this so bare with me if this issue has already been discussed.
The other day my VE 3.6L Auto was driving normally then randomly it was if it had gone into neutral she would rev fine with no weird noises so i pulled over turned it off and left it for a minute restarted it and and we were off again like nothing happened although now it was making a whirring sound but only under load, when shes parked up in neutral and you give it some revs the whirring sound is not there.
Looking on google im guessing im going to need the torque converter replaced. I am definitely no expert so im looking for a bit of help as at the moment i dont really have the cash to go to auto trans specialist.
Also i took it for a drive around the block 2 days later and same thing happened again, parked up restarted off again and whirring noise only just started again as i pulled in the drive.
Anyway id appreciate any input from you guys.
Cheers

Good cricket bats where you come from (Hawkes Bay, NZ, Laver & Wood).

Yep ditto lout. Does sound like a tranny issue, and does remind me of a TC issue - but you have to have it checked if you want transport.
Sorry, but it is that simple. They can go from bad to very bad very quickly.
