You've already bought the gear, you might as well have a go - worst that will happen is you take it to a panel shop if if looks crap - but do get some finer paper.

I did mine myself and it turned out mint.

Just lightly wet sand first, then mask it up then paint several LIGHT coats. << That's the key, multiple light coats are always better then one or two heavy ones.

Search the posts for how to paint a holden grill. Found a very good guide before which helped heaps when I decided to paint mine . Should also be a similar type plastic aswell. Tried painting the chevy badge on my series 1 and it looked like crap cause I didn't have a clue . Once I read the guide it explained plastic primer and prep which worked wonders.

hey man i took mine... front grill and rear badge to a panel beater shop in belmore and he painted it gloss black for me and left the silver/chrome outline untouched.... cost 40 bucks.... any panel beater can do it... its just them being bothered to do it

From memory, holden were looking for examples of commodores sporting chev badges not too long ago (I imagine they didn't have to look very hard).
