hi guys
just replaced the engine in my ve v6, both were ly7 motors however the wiring harness on the new motor has a plug on it that is completely different to the plugs on my old engine. see below:
the engine wiring harness also both have different part numbers, however apart from
that are completely identical. i have had to leave that plug unplugged as it obviously doesn’t fit the other end.
the new engine is now not starting at all - getting only a weak crank. could these different wiring harnesses interfere with the ecu and cause problems? would you guys suggest putting my old harness on the new engine so that it correctly matches my ecu?
