Ve epa rev range

Hi need to go to an exhaust place for a noise test i no that iam under but i thought ild hear how it sounds before they test it. I have a ve ss and live in Melb i no they test it when it revs to 4500 revs (correct me if iam wrong) but in park or neutral when i put my foot down it only reaches revs to 4000 does Holden have this feature naturally wen in drive it goes past 4000revs.
Any help would be great.

yes for what i under stand in neutral its limited to 4000rpm but im sure others on the site can give a better explantion.

I have a VE SS manual and I can sit on the limiter in neutral. Is this only on the autos?

Don't think so. I've got a 08 SSV A6 and in netural there's no limit on the rev's. Have gone past 4k many a time.

v6 autos i have driven will only rev to 4K in nuetral

My 6l80 A6 only revs to 4000 unless you get it tuned to raise the limiter.

when not in gear goes to 4k limit but what do they rev to when in gear?? like if you put in 1st and give it abit how high is the limiter??
