Ok, a bit of a update, after asking every Holden tech I have seen over the last month, the general answer is to have the radio cleared through Bosch, they tell me that they send all faulty radios to bosch and sometimes do it on a exchange basis, the radio needs the vin number removed if its to be fitted to a different vehicle, from what I can gather, the radio self vin codes once fitted to the vehicle, (may be something to do with not wasting time matching the radio to a specific car when they build them), not sure if this is correct, but a few techs indicated that this is the case.

They also tell me that this cost is around $200, so I have decided to investigate the cause of the original radios fault and see if there is a fix before I shell out $200.
