Hi all, after some advise.
I have bought a 2010 VE SV6 series 1 LLT (3.6l) SIDI not running, as a bit of a project thinking I might be able to work out what is preventing it from starting, it turns over, has spark and fuel just won’t fire. I have now just done a compression test (not good) and results are:
1 - 0 psi
3 - 0 psi
5 - 145 psi
2 - 75 psi
4 - 110 psi
6 - 135 psi
So I’m thinking she’s had it, I’d like to think it may be a head gasket, but more likely timing chain Issue?
Any advise / comments would be much appreciated
Thanks

Anyone?
I think I’m going to start stripping the engine down, and do the timing chain, could a stretched/knacked chain cause no compression or more likely head gasket or burnt out valves
And advise/opinion would be appreciated

Often a blown gasket between those two cylinders would cause that. Not great results overall though. Better off finding a good second hand engine imo.
