VE SS new lifter, cam and now making a horrible noise

Hey!

So I’ve got l76, recently changed the lifters to L7, new cam, L98 valley plate cover and had afm/dod delete done on on.

It’s since making more noise than what it did before.

Have had the engine pulled apart 3 times so far and haven’t been able to work out the problem.

Have rebuilt previous LS engines and have never come across this issue before so it’s left me absolutely baffled.

is the L98 valley plate one that seals up the old dod oil lines ? if not and the holes arnt blocked then oil will be going everywhere and loosing pressure ? is oil pressure good or low

Yep the L98 is the one that seals up the dod oil lines. Oil pressure is good

lifters facing the right way ? preload is all good ? i assume the noise is like a valvetrain related clacking sort ?

Is valvetrain clacking noise.
Lifters are definitely facing the right way.

new springs ? and if so are they a high load spring or factory style load ?

Just my 2 cent's worth mate. Did you replace the Rockers ?.

I’d be pulling apart and redoing. That v damaging something more expensive than your time and a few gaskets.
