VE SSV Catback install help

So I was informed today by the exhaust shop that the factory cats have this lip on them that can actually be taken off can anyone confirm this for me?

Picture provided and circled at what I am asking about

That can be ‘unbolted’ by anyone, but that’s one piece, that flange doesn’t just come off.

Just drive a screwdriver or prybar in between the flange and cone bit and lever it off.

If it’s stubborn u can carefully cut that cone bit off with a grinder
