Ve ssv oil pressure and temp display

Hi all,
Does anyone know what the ideal oil pressure and temp reading should be. Having the guages on the SSV is a nice to have but understanding what the mechanical tolerances are and what the ideal pressures and temps should be are important.

G'day Stocky, i can't give you an exact answer other than that i've just done a 3000km trip in mine and the temp stayed at 109 the whole time and the oil pressure was around 330. This is at highway speeds. Hope that helps

Yup, mine shows about 108 oC at operating temps and around 190 kpa at idle (about 500rpm). I use 0w-40 castrol edge sport ATM. When I bought the car I think it had 15w-40 oil and it was reading about 210 kpa at idle (same temp). I've read somewhere there is an optimum range rpm Vs kpa (or psi) but I've forgotten the numbers. Maybe someone else can on this forum knows.

obviosly you guys are not talking about the 2 led gauges above the head unit in the dash centre.......mine only shows voltage and oil pressure

You can buy hsv pod gauges off ebay

Could you link out to the gauges your talking about. Do you know if they would be a plug and play thing in an SSV

Mine has voltage, oil pressure and oil temp.
