Well done mate it is a prick of a job but makes a massive improvement, pity about breaking those tabs i almost did the same

Yeah, the plugs still go in and hold in fine, so all is good :)

So just found out the media buttons on the wheel (Which came with the GTS wheel) actually illuminate white at night! Much better than the standard SS ones and I had NO idea they did this!

Interesting as both my Series 1 and Series II had the buttons on the steering wheel which illuminate when the headlights are turned on. Can't see why your's didn't.

I put on a Genuine HSV GTS Steering Wheel i purchased as surplus from a dealer and it took me 22 mins to remove the airbag, change over the spokes/buttons and re-install it all. I did make a tool (modified a stubby screwdriver) which sped up the process but it was a cinch to do. Thanks for the guide OP.

From what i remember there are just a couple of screws holding the spokes n buttons together
