Fair enough but $500 for the software you must be keen.
It’s absolute value if it saves you just one trip to a poorly skilled workshop. It is an extremely important tool for owning any car made in the last 25years.

True I have no doubt to the statement BUT you still have to be keen to go down the rabbit hole and you know as well as I do not a lot of people have the intelligence to use software like that.

Yeah that's exactly as i see it. You don't have to be too intelligent to clone an ECM, took about 5 minutes all up if that. Writing the software or tuning yeah i would agree you need to put a lot of time in for that.
