Hi,

Maybe I have missed it somewhere, but how do I remove the back of the centre console in a VE Ute.
I mean the upright bit behind the lid.

I have found the two covers that clip off, and removed the visible screws (4 top, 3 bottom).

I suspect the panel then just clips off, but I have tried and it does not seem to be moving, am I just not pulling hard enough in the right direction or do I need to find more screws to undo?

Why do I want to do this? I want to add an extra power point by linking into the back of the one in the console bin.

Thanks
Paul

Answering my own question after looking at the workshop manual in my local library.

The panel simply pulls off after the screws mentions above are removed.
But I don’t need to do this, the wiring to the ‘cigarette lighter’ power socket in the console is accessible behind the drivers side panel along the side of the console.

Hopefully this helps somebody else sometime.

:) Paul
